      The number of the companies which want to invest in the real-estate sector in Romania dropped approximately 30 times compared to 2007.
      Only five foreign companies have shown interest to invest in real estate in Romania this year, at Expo Real Munich, one of the largest property exhibitions in Europe, compared to over 142 investors interested in 2007, said Tuesday the president of consulting company, notes NewsIn.
      “If in 2007, there were 142  foreign investors  interested in the real-estate sector  in Romania, in 2008 their number dropped to 35 invesetors, so as this year, at Expo Real Munchen, one of the biggest real-estate fairs in Europe, only 5 companies showed interest in this sector. Romania does not present interest for the investors.

      Doar cinci companii straine s-au aratat interesate sa investeasca in acest an in sectorul imobiliar din Romania, la Expo Real Munchen, una dintre cele mai mari expozitii de imobiliare din Europa, fata de 142 investitori interesati in 2007, a declarat marti, presedintele unei companii de consultanta, noteaza NewsIn.
      “Daca, in 2007, erau 142 de investitori straini intersati de sectorul imobiliar din Romania, in 2008 numarul acestora a scazut la 35 investitori, pentru ca in acest an, la Expo Real Munchen, una dintre cele mai mari expozitii de imobiliare din Europa, numai cinci companii s-au aratat interesate de investitii in acest sector. Romania nu prezinta interes pentru investitori. Acesti investitori au avut cerinte foarte clare referitoare la piata din Romania, insa au o parere proasta despre modul in care se fac aici afacerile”, a declarat marti, in cadrul unei conferinte de presa directorul general al More Real Estate Services, Ilias Papageorgiadis.
      Cele cinci companii straine sunt interesate de proprietati care genereaza venituri, de terenuri agricole, de energii alternative si cultivarea de paduri sau alte proiecte in agricultura, a mai spus Ilias Papageorgiadis. Totodata, acesta nu a dezvaluit numele acestor companii.
      El a mentionat faptul ca nu ar trebui sa tratam investitorii straini care vin in Romania ca pe oameni fraieri, care nu stiu ce cumpara. “Ba chiar ei stiu ca sunt pacaliti. Altfel, daca romanul nu isi schimba atitudinea, acestia nu vor mai veni sa investeasca si anul urmator”,  a afirmat Ilias Papageorgiadis.
      In ceea ce priveste atitudinea investitorilor romani din ultimii ani, de pe piata imobiliara, acesta a precizat ca “daca in 2005-2006, era vorba de optimism, in 2007 - aroganta, in 2008 - negarea realitatii, iar in 2009, trebuie sa ne trezim dintr-un somn adanc”.

      The 5 foreign companies are interested in income properties, agricultural lands, alternative energies and cultivating forests or other agricultural projects, Ilias Ppageorgiadis also said. At the same time, he didn’t disclose the name of these companies.
      He mentioned the fact that we should not treat the foreign investors who come to Romania as people who can be fooled, who don’t know what they are buying.”On the contrary, they know they are being fooled. Therefore, if the Romanian doesn’t change his attitude, they will not come to invest the next year”, Ilias Papageorgiadis said.
      Regarding the attitude of the Romanian investors on the real-estate market during the past 3 years, he noted that ” if between 2005-2006 it was all about optimism, in 2007 - arrogance, in 2008 - denial of reality, in 2009 we have to wake up from a deep sleep”.
