Lidl to take over Plus chain in Romania and Bulgaria from Tengelmann

Lidl will take over from Tengelmann the Plus discount store chain in Romania and Bulgaria, the German group announced Monday, without specifying the value of the transaction. Plus entered the Romanian market in October 2005 and currently has 96 stores in Romania, with over 2,000 employees. In Bulgaria, the company has 23 stores, with 820 employees, and the first unit was opened in October last year.
